Yes you must jailbreak. There are many tutorials on how to do this.

iTunes has a proble with files over 2GB. You can not use iTunes to transfer a file over 2GB. I am not at home at present, but there are many tutorials on how to do this. If you can not figure this out, please reply by PM and I will address this when I get home.

Thanks for your assistance, I'm sure there must be others having the same problem as me. I've searched for hours and I'm not getting very far. I have iphonebrowser installed and I can copy the file to the iphone but I have no idea where to put it in all the folders or what to do with it when it is there. Apolgies in advance if this is a simple task. Look forward to hearing from you later today.

OK I seem to have cracked it after playing around.

copy ipa to
'/User/Documents/Installous/Downloads' Directory

I also copied an existing icon to the same name as the ips with png on the end. This shows up better in the downloads section.
many not be requried though.

copy png icon to
'/User/Documents/Installous/IconsCache' Directory

Application will then appear in Installous under the Downloads tab. You can install it from there.

Be patient as it takes a while to copy over and a while to install due to the size.

Hope this is of help to others. Those of you who are more of an expert than me, may know a better way.
