Hello everyone,

I purchased an iPhone 4 and installed the TOMTOM app 1.4.1 US-Canada. works great.

I have working premium voices on my previous iPhone 3G and have transfered them to my new iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 is jailbroken with os4.1 and i have inserted the premium voices to the TOMTOM app.

Now in the iPhone 4 they do not display in the voices menu in the TOMTOM selections. I was trouble shooting and found out that if i delete the .DCT files that worked in the iPhone 3G the names now display on my iPhone 4 (but crash if selected). I have tried to re-activate only to get the same resolve.

iPhone 3G device ID: AAHBQB2XJE

CONCLUSION: I believe that the TOMTOM 1.4.1 in the iPhone 4 has a new device ID to make it work. Can anyone verify this with their iPhone 4 or have Premium voices working on the iPhone 4 (if yes, then how)

QUESTION: how do you find the Device ID for the iPhone, someone figured out how on the 3G & 3GS, can you explain :)

Have you patched the premium voices?

Yes they were patched and work on the iPhone 3G, now I transferred them over to the iPhone 4 and they do not work. All four files are put in the voices folder without renaming - known to cause voices not to work.

Does anybody have working premium voices working on the iPhone 4? Please help and thanks

Patching/creating a .dct file is device specific. You will have to re-patch the voices for the 4.

As far as i know you can not patch the files on the iPhone, you have to patch them in the patching software itself.
Does anyone know what the device I'D is for the iPhone 4 or which software will accomplish this for me?

It is the same as the old one. I will see if Popeys can post the voices.
