These instructions will modify Primo 1.2 and Primo 2.0 TTS-Pro voice files to be compatible with Navteq Driver Alerts, speedcam and other warnings, and diMka Primo Skins.

Note: The next steps work using WinRar...if you use ANY OTHER extraction/unzipping utility, the results cannot be guaranteed and you may corrupt the voice file!

1) Go to {Main Primo Folder}\content\voice\ and COPY your {voice}.zip file to your computer.
2) Open WinRar on your computer. Click File->Open Archive and navigate to your {voice}.zip file OR simply drag and drop the {voice}.zip file into the WinRar window.
3) In the WinRar window, click open the i18n folder.
4) Double click the Dictionary.voice file and, if given a choice, choose to open the file in Notepad or another PLAIN TEXT editor...do NOT choose to use a Word Processor or other 'document' editor (WordPad, Word, some 'Office' type editor, etc = [color="#FF0000"]NO![/color])
5)Select all and delete.
6) Copy all of the [color="#000080"]text below[/color] and Paste--feel free to edit the quoted phrases how you like--

[color="#FF0000"]Caution[/color], DO NOT change anything to the left of the "=", and be sure that your word or phrase to the right of the "=" remains in quotes as shown. Any string characters such as "%s" or "%name" or "%result" or "\n" should remain exactly how they are.

7) In your text editor, click File->Save
8) WinRar will ask if you want to update the archive...choose "Yes".
8) Close your text editor, close WinRar
9) On your GPS device or SD Card, MOVE your unedited {voice}.zip file from {Main Primo Folder}\content\voice\ to somewhere safe on your computer as backup.
10) Copy your newly edited {voice}.zip file to {Main Primo Folder}\content\voice\ on your device or SD Card.
11) Start Primo...if you did everything correctly, and followed the above steps precisely, all TTS Pro options, voice announcements, warnings, and Navteq FDA alerts[color="#FF0000"]**[/color] will be available and functional--particularly with the latest diMka Primo 1.2 and Primo 2.0 skin.

[color="#FF0000"]**[/color] For Driver Alerts to function, you must be using Navteq Maps and matching *.fda files.

If you get an error, or Primo does not start, you have done something wrong and must:
a) Start over, or
b) Restore your unedited {voice}.zip file that you backed up.

This same file can be used with all English Primo 1.2 and Primo 2.0 Nuance TTS Pro voice files.
