Just an update folks

These files came from a CD I was sent in the mail.
the CD had been burnt by a person in Adelaide.
Who informed me they were for "WinCE"
On the CD there were several .EXE files to update something called NaVPro.
But the content files from this cd are in the above RAR file.
It appears they are from 2021 Q2 but I can't prove it.
also nowhere does it say "Here Australia" on the disc.
The title above was not supplied by me.

Hi Bernie,

first thanks for your efforts.

I downloaded the files last night and analysed them with the Igoview app. I'm sorry to tell you they are a mixture of previously shared TomTom 2021.06 maps and pois, with the rest being mostly HERE 2020.Q4. There are even 2017 WhereiS school zone files among the speedcams. Everything is the newest of its type so not a complete loss.

Thanks k1w1_123

I was afraid that this might have been the case.
but the person from Adelaide tried to convince me these were the latest files for our GPS units.
I happily spent $30 to try to get a working copy of Here Australia & New Zealand 2021 Q2
But I guess it was not a total loss because I have put them into my units and they are slightly better than the 2020 Q4 I had before.
I would really be happy to pay for a legal set of 2021 Q2 but as my units are not accepted by navieextras I must wait till someone makes them available online.

Once again thanks
Bernie

Hi Bernie.
Both files are coming up with Security Warnings about the issuing websites.
Just need to confirm that You had no issues please, before I proceed any further.
Thanks in Advance

Hi Chad

This is part of a long story worked out between Bondy99 and myself.
The navieextras website is very restrictive so we need to be inventive.
Someone else posted the update for TomTom 2021 and some of these files were exactly the same as the "Here" files.
together we worked out that using 3 of the TomTom 2021 files while keeping all the older "Here" files allowed us to have the latest maps while still using the older routing information.
then I received the CD from the person in Adelaide but found they were the same as what we already had.
I posted these files from the CD in another post called "Here Aus & NZ 2020Q4.
one of the other members with more privileges than me, created this new post with the current heading.

That said the way I have them installed on my GPS units is by keeping all the old Here Aus & NZ files.
but substituting the TomTom .FBL +.3DC +.3DL into their correct folder replacing the same files with the "Here Aus file names.
This works well in both my xGody and the Blaupunkt GPS units.
I believe the same has been successfull with several other people on this site.
But as allways back up before making changes so you can recover if it fails.

Regards

Bernie

It's a strange situation but if you want me to edit the heading or even delete the topic...post a reply with what you want and I'll make it happen

I was only trying to help you and the other members

Hi frederf,
I believe bernie and another donor (Drdos7 perhaps) has been helping a few members with the maps. We were hopeful someone might have shared the full update 2021.Q4 , unfortunately not at this stage, hence the bits from HERE and TomTom.

Hi frederf
Happy to leave the topic up and available to all.
I just did not wish to take credit for a group effort.

Just recently was able to take a look at the xGody latest maps for Australia & New Zealand.
they were dated 15-09-2021 but were all the files from Here Australia & New Zealand 2020 Q4.
pity no one has the full set of 2021 files to share with us.

Hi All

I just spent approx 30 minutes toying with Naviextras website again.
Here Australia 2022 Q2 has been released but they still refuse to accept my money to buy a copy of it.
they keep telling me that the microSD card in my Blaupunkt head unit is not registered with their website.
I have contacted Blaupunkt support Asia region (Malasia) to see if I can obtain from them a new microSD card which would be accepted by Naviextras as a registered card.
Then maybe I would be able to purchase the Here Australia 2022 Q2 update.
If anyone out there knows how to assist in getting this update please provide info here.
We really need a new update soon.

bernievink,
I hear and feel your pain.
It does seem strange to get that message about the microSDCard. Naviextra website relies upon the device (Your GPS unit) being registered with their site, normally uses the serial number of your GPS device.

There's probably someone clued up on here that could assist further.

Cheers
Bondy

Hi Folks

I have received some files from a contact in China.
They appear to be 2022 Q2.
I have installed them in both my Peugeot 308 Blaupunkt unit and my xGody in the Mercedes sprinter.
they both work but I need to check if they show any new content since the 2021 updates.

If someone (like fredderf) can show me how to place the RAR file on here I would appreciate it.
Cheers.

Hi k1w1_123
if you can give tese files a once over with your Igoview app, to check if genuine, that would be great.

Wow I found the 2021 Q4 files too but too late to do me any good.
