Did you put the .poi files in the content/poi directory and all other files in the content/map directory?
You might want to check in Primo to see what it sees - you can do this via the "More..." menu, go into Help, About and then open the "More" menu at the bottom of the screen and pick "Content". Then go into the Maps and Places items and make sure Primo is seeing them OK. Can also check the other items in the list too....

Yes, I replaced all the poi files in it's cooresponding folder, and the entire content of the map folder.
I'll try to check the More menu as you recommended. Thanks.

Here are the files from post 42 narrowed down by extension and for only the 50 US states and DC. They worked OK with my Clarion NX702 with Primo 2.01.
These
do not include Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, or the Virgin Islands. Note also there is still no Alaska FJW file. I'm new to Google Docs, so please post here if there are problems downloading the links. Each is supposed to be sharable with public view. I did verify the smallest one (.FDA) worked from another computer.
Each extension is in its own zip file, so there is no need to pick and choose individual files if all you want are the USA files
:
.FBL and .HNR (1GB)

[Please Register or Login to download file] .FJW (753 MB) (no file for Alaska)

FWIW, when I updated my SD card (Clarion NX702), I found I had "extended" .POI files along with the year 2013 regular ones in my /POI folder. I deleted only the regular ones and replaced them with the 2015.Q2 versions and the system has worked fine. I see it retained a favorite location I had stored.
I also added the several other types into my /map folder and they are apparently working as well. All I had before were the .FBL maps and .HNR route files. I added an .HNR file (I think it was "green") that had not been there, and saw I now had that option on the menu.

FYI - there are 2015.Q2 extended POI files available as well - here is a link to a share for them:

Thanks. I'll add them to the Google Drive. I strongly dislike having to jump through so many sites & those low/high speed download pages, it's so much easier to have everything in one place.

What is the difference between the original POI and the Extended files? Do you need to have both POI files or just the Extended?

It's funny you should ask! Just had an in-depth conversation about this on another forum! I had originally thought that the extended POI file replaced the regular POI file, but that is not the case - it's meant to complement the original POI file. It seems that the extended POI file has a lot of smaller businesses in it that the original POI file does not.
But you definitely need both.

Jtrosky is correct
You must have the normal poi to use the extended poi.
If the normal poi isn't available, which happens sometimes, an older version works.
Ie, using 2015Q1 poi with 2015Q3 extended poi works

Just to clarify my post a little - the standard POI files aren't *required* (you can install just the extended POI file and it works fine) - but it's not very practical since it's the standard POI files that contain the vast majority of "primary" POIs. For example, the extended POI files doesn't even have a Restaurant category at all (at least around my area)! So it just doesn't make much sense to use an extended POI file without also using a standard POI file (but technically, it will work).
This is with iGo8/iGo Primo - NextGen may behave differently and require them both - I'm not sure since I've never tested it with NextGen.

New user here. Pardon my ignorance.
I have a TN565t Motonav unit from Motorola. Long discontinued by manufacturer. Maps are USA2009, I guess they are IGO maps. Can I use any of the Igo maps found in this forum, like HERE or TomTom, rename it and use it in the device? If not where can I find a relatively newer version .fbl and .poi file that will work in my device? Thank you

These maps will only work if you have a cr@cked version of iGo installed. You would need to install one of the versions of iGo from this forum before you could use these maps successfully. Once you have a cr@cked version of iGo installed, then these maps would work fine.

Thanks jtrosky. Let me find a version that would work on my TN5675t. Appreciate your help

Further to my previous post, it appears the maps and searching addresses are working, however you cannot search for any businesses, etc. Is there only supposed to be one poi file? It's pointing appropriately to Canada_HERE_2015.Q2_150608.poi. Also, why no extended for Canada this time around?
