Maybe I asked it already somewhere if so sorry for that.
But I downloaded
Speedcamupdates.spb

In the speedcam folder (IGO 8.3) you find three different files
Speedcam.spdp
Speedcam.txt
Speedcamupdates.spud

The update is only 363 KB

The speedcam.txt file however is 1736 KB

How could I merge them?
Or how to install the update?

I loaded the new data.
After deleting .spdb and .spud
Added SpeedcamUpdates.spb
Builded the Speedcam.spdb file

See examples below.
Upper image the old data
Underneath the new.
But the .txt file hasn't been changed ?

Question: Will IGO 8.3 use the .txt file to create the new speedcam.spdb file?
Or what if I add another update?

Usually, the best way to keep up with speedcams in iGO is to completely delete all the files in content\speedcam and just copy/paste a current speedcam.txt file. The program will automatically create the files it needs the next start.

Sure but I don't have a txt file of speedcams.
The most recent one was only .spb
So how to convert that into .txt?

Would a 360 kb .spb update create a 1700 kb txt file?

Where did you get that? The only file you want is a .txt file. Home??

It's the other way around. A spdb file is created out of a txt file.

That's odd.
I deleted all and installed just SpeedcamUpdates.spb

I let the device start and it created the following

Thats however far less than the old file. 360 instead of 1700 kb
And there is no .txt file.

Is there a way to transform the SpeedcamUpdates into .txt ?
Or to merge?

.Txt files can be merged.

and out of spb file as well.

If you add now another txt or/and spd file to the folder, it will be added to the speed camera DB (spdb file).
This is why your original file was larger.
