Special v1000 maps


Activation of maps with equivalent metas. If you have a map that has no meta, you may be able to activate it if there is an equivalent meta.


So, in simple terms (Northern_US_and_Canada_1000_8671 example):

Download/decompress/copy the map that you want to activate (but for which you don't have the meta).
Delete the relavent .meta file
Copy into the map folder the .meta file from the other map (same country - compatible as number) for the same country
Activate the map with the usual system.

For example:

Copy map Northern_US_and_Canada_1000_8671
Delete map Northern_US_and_Canada_1000_8671 meta file (Northern_US_and_Canada-101374.meta)
Copy the meta of 1000_8670 (Northern_US_and_Canada-101101373.meta) that has meta code into map 1000_8671 folder
Unlock the map.

The equivalent numbers are:

1000_8641 = 1000_8642 = 1000_8643 = 1000_8674 = Truck
1000_8645 = 1000_8646 = 1000_8647 = 1000_8670 = 1000_8671 = 1000_8672

Very important: only when the size of the meta files that we are going to change are the same

Trying to activate Australia 1000.8647 but with no meta code available and no other map compatible, what do you think my options are? Cheers

I am using a tomtom one 3rd edition. previously using 995.8513 map with no problems.

Have you tried it I think not but I can say it don,t work.
There are 2 other maps from Australie so use one of them.
What type of device you have.

I have a tom tom one 3rd Edition, old i know but it does what i want. previously using 9885.8513 map perfectly.
