Activating a 1005 Map Without a Meta Code

I have a TomTom One v4 with App ID 8.014.

I updated my UK map yesterday successfully with Speed Cameras, Post Codes and POIs to map 1005.8767

I am going to France soon and would like France on there and I am restricted to 1Gb of storage on my device. I can see that France is suitable in size for my device and uploaded France 1005.8767 to the device but when I tried to patch the map using FastActivate it gave a dct error with the meta file in the original download and another 'interchangeable' meta file as suggested by the meta file thread.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Instead use
France 1005_8766
meta availble

And next time don,t forget to read

before you asked something about the maps/meta

No interchangeable' meta file availble for the 1005.8767

Downloaded and installed and FastActivated the France map 1005.8766 (NO dct errors) but can't switch to it as it doesn't show.

The compatibility chart does say that the 8766 is not compatible with Device App 8.014.

Any help as to which map may work best.

For the 8.014 is no map France 1005 with metacode availble
Back till 985 butt still no metacode availble.

I think it is time for a new TT device.

I'll keep it for UK and scrap Europe!

I'll use my Android phone then instead but most of the apps are rubbish at route planning compared to TomTom.

Or TomTom GO Mobile 19.95 euro/year
(It is worth the money)

I need this map, because i have old device with 500MB memmpry. This is only map wchich fit at this size of memmory.
Latest map wchich i've found with meta file is 995 - and this working, but it's slightly old.

Can anyone help me?

No, there is currently no other choice...so either use the 995 map or buy the new 1005 map from TomTom
