Cheers! Worked perfectly....
Opening (the backup) in Notepad I see the file is 'formatted' (encrypted perhaps?). 'Delete' has always been an all or nothing affair, AFAIK. Is there a way of getting granularity in (editing) the list?
I often use a postcode to find somewhere then POI near destination to get a fix on somewhere that a POI search near me won't do or trying to find the category / spelling isn't easy. So I get redundancy in near half the list. "Good stuff" bubbles to the top but if I don't use one for a while there's a chance it shuffles off the bottom for some irrelevant (almost duplicate or "mis-nav") stuff.
I realise I can use 'Favourites' to get a list but favourites is a stretch. Kind of a statement of where I navigate to. Plus I would use that for off-road locations or specific spots that GPS can get me to but don't have a POI.
The car has SatNav but the latest map is 2022, so the TT comes out when I can't locate. Adapting the POIs for COMAND was my kind of fun
