Hello!

Anyone know what could be the problem? It doesn't seem to be any obvious reason.
I have tried two different 1005 maps, both Europe_North_1GB, which both have meta codes available.
FastActivate always complains about .dct error.
I also tried an auto-installer package with 1005.8767 map, but the end result was the same, Tomtom said that the map cannot be used.
I have previously used 995 maps successfully with this same device.

The obvious answer there is no metacode availble so those maps can,t be used

I just said there is metacodes for both maps.

Hmm... Then if you can surely see there is no meta code for those maps, then how does this thing work? I see that there is the exact map version, and a hex code with it. But is there some other thing to consider beyond that?

The exact maps i have tried:
Europe North 1GB 1005 8767 and the auto-patching version also
with metacode EE F3 E1 A6 7E 66 36 75 5E DE 28 A1 09 B5 9C F9 Europe_North-101441.meta ; Europe_North 1005_8767

Europe 1GB North 1005 8819
with metacode FA C1 1C B8 D9 02 BA C9 2C 7B 29 24 B8 36 A4 FC Europe_North-101483.meta ; Europe_North 1005_8819

You need a metacode for the 1GB map. You can,t use the metacode from another Europe_North 1005_8767 map.

Ohh... Now i see it. I always thought that the 1GB version was just a reduced version, still being the same than the bigger....
But the, what's with the auto-patching package? Why does it exist if it can't auto-patch?

It would be fine with the bigger version, but rest of my Tomtoms have only 2GB of memory.

With auto-patch it is the same as with non auto-patch maps it can only been used if the metacode is availble.
Auto-Patch has an inbuild FastAktivate.
So always first look if a metacode is availble if so you can download the map otherwise it is a waist off time.

Hola: Creo que tienes razon ami me pasa lo mismo, me e descargado el Iberia 1005- 8819 y el programa melo activa pero luego lo meto en el GPS y me dice este codigo no es correcto para este dispositivo, asi unas cuantas veces y lo mismo.
