Hello @gravitonas,
No you can't, 1130-12307 maps only suit to Carminat.
Central and Eastern Europe 1130.12312 for Nav3 would be a better choice as your XXl (Nav2 gps) can run a Nav3 map.
Without "Optimize_nav3" if your XXl has a 4Gb internal memory,
or
after "Optimize_nav3" if your XXL has a 2Gb internal memory.
You could also choose an other coverage of smaller size :
Central Europe East 1130.12312, Europe East 1130.12303, etc

hello.
Thanks for shaing the info.
Can you please confirm me the following interpretation:
I have a WinCE device running the 7.9 version; So the only maps I can se/are compatible with the version/device i have are:
1130_12308 + 12309 + 12310 + 12311 & also 1130_12376 + 12377 + 12379
Is this correct?
Also where can I actually get updated maps, particularly Europe and more specifically Iberia.
Thanks in advance and thank your work.

Correct, they are the maps compatible with navcore 7.9
PS what actual device do you have
tutorials/how-identify-your-tomtom-device-t21960.htmlnew/current/latest maps are available from TTActivator here

The last maps with known metacode and compatible with Navcore 7.9 (arm9-mnt) are 1110 maps.
Downloading 1130 or 1140 maps is hopeless, you won't be able to activate them.

Hello.
Thanks for the reply
I
dont have a native TomTom device. I have an old NDrive G280 running TomTom Navigator v7.903.9183 (I think). The OS under it is WinCE 5.
I hope its useful. Thanks.

For map download I use TTActivator, a "All in One" tool ; meta download, map download, activation, adding quickgpsfix and speedcams.
TTActivator 1.20with your settings :
Tools "update meta"
Maps downloader : Kind "arm9-mnt", Version "1110" AutoExtract, Country (choose according desired coverage and free memory)
Installed content "Activate"
For voices, you should have a research in forum.

Followed intrutions to the DOT: verything worked fine and dandy! I managed to find updated Portuguese voice here in the forum. All good. Pretty good quality bump from the previous 2011 version of maps and voices I had installed!
Old tech can still be useful in the age of fast obsolesce
thank you again.

A cheap solution could be a second hand Nav2 (OneXL, Go730 ...) or Nav3 (Start25 ...).
Both can run any Nav3 map.
All maps 1110 have been removed. That is a pity. Can I still download them somewhere? Otherwise my 5 Tomtoms are for the shredder...
Start25 has Lifetime Free Maps. That's nice.

Hello @JeanSables,
1110 maps with known metacode are still available from TTActivator when your Nav1 devices (arm9-mnt) need one.
But 1140 Nav3 maps are the best choice for Nav2 and Nav3 devices.
