Hi Fredderf,

thank you for your reply, but this topic wans't much of a help. I know the difference between the Europe_west/east/north/south and central maps. I'm more interested in the Europe_zone maps if they can provide me an alternative my Europe_west 1011.9877/83/28 and 9043 map. Meta code is only provided for 1011.9046 maps which have no features and is not optimized for 9.5xx navcore on my XL IQ.

And what about Europe_Zone_West 1011_8978 as alternative.

Hi Holyhead,

in the map chart it is checked in light green for my navcore 9.510. So I assume this map has less details and is optimized for lower navcores?
I don't know which countries are included.

The map has no Cspeech & ASR. The XXL has no microphone so this means this function can't be used.
Also, the map has no HNR. This is only important for Rusia, Greece etc.
And what you mean with optimized for lower navcores. Original this map is for the Renault Carminat.
Maybe it is time to study the chart explanation carefully

Your answer was.
this topic wasn't much of a help.
I think that you have spent little of your time on this topic.

It tells you which country,s are included.
topic20675.html

I downloaded the map myself and the countries included are
Europe_Zone_West 1011_8978
Austria,Belgium,France,Germany,Ireland,Lichtenstein,Luxembourg
Monaco,Netherland,Switserland,United Kingdom.

So for the future If you want to know exactly which country,s are included in a map don,t hesitate and download that map and see it for yourself.

In addition to holyhead's post:

We are not mind readers...HTF do we know what countries you need in a map?

Read holyhead's post above and download Poteo_Roke's excel document and it'll tell you what countries are in each map/ the features and size of each map/ and the last edition that has a meta code

Hi fredderf,

equivalent map of Europe_west, that is what I'm looking for. According to TT website the Europe Zone west has 3 options. Every option has coverage for different countries. And yes I don't expect you to read my mind, but my question tells already a lot.
Poteo_Roke's excel document wasn't helpful in that case.
Maybe you can answer me why the map versions in the map chart are checked in light or dark green next to the navcore?

Holyhead,

Poteo_Roke's excel does not show countries of any Europe_Zone_xxx maps. I know the countries included in the Europe_west map, but that wasn't my question. I was looking for an alternative.
On the TT website The Europe_zone_west have multiple options. Every option, 1-2 or 3, gives coverage for different countries. So I wasn't sure.
I studied the chart explanation. I was wondering why some maps are checked in light or dark green next to the navcore. Explanation for that in the chart? Couldn't find.
I have red in a post that on this forum that it would relate to the navcore version. Can you confirm?
I know that I only need ALG and IQroutes for my device, but did I say otherwise? No.

I fully appreciate the effort you guys do, but when I'm not sure or could find a clear answer then I ask.
Yesterday evening I started downloading the map. On low speed and limited hourly downloads, it takes more time.

regards.

Holyhead has already suggested a good alternative that has the same countries as Europe_West with ALG as well = Europe_Zone_West 1011_8978
You can also use the previous series that DOES have a meta code = Europe_West 1005_8763

We have tried to help you but you are always complaining...
We will not be wasting any more of our valuable time on you...I suggest you buy the map you want from TT

You automatically get the option you need when you buy a Map from TomTom.

Unfortunately, TomTom no longer sold Maps for old devices.

For me, it is the same
