Hi there, I have found the map for EUROPE_985 (2.9GB) and I want to install it on my TomTom One (N14644) which has only 1GB of storage, how can I do that? I would actually only need France but I have no clue on how to manually install only a part of that map, at least France...

No, I'm afraid that's not possible...

It would make more sense to install a stand alone France map, and also one that is of the latest series too.
