This is for a tomtom xl navcore 8.014 and 1GB

I have the map Europe_South_1GB_1030_9525
with the following meta: 89 5A E0 0A BD 49 B5 43 5F 2A A3 94 A6 F7 7B 51 Southern_Europe-101953.meta; Southern_Europe 1030_9525

but by wanting it enabled with fastactivate it puts me meta.dct error?
Why ?

No, the tomtom xl does not have an SD card, just a 1GB memory.


Regarding your first link compatibility maps, I'm normally good because the 1030.9525 with a navcore 8.014 is green check

Regarding the link of navcore, it is for my GPS? no risk ?
Would you have a tutorial on? because I have never changed navcore.

There is no risk but I can,t give any warrenty

1) Make a backup of your Device and delete the content.
--
2) Unpack the* navcore (winrar ) and place folders and files on your Device.
--
3) Reset The Device (minimal 15 sec) and start it till the announcement "No map found"
--
4) Copie the selected map to your Device in his own folder.
If you open the map you see the individual files and probably a folder (brand).
Not a map in a map.
(plain map no speedcams,poi,etc)

5) Copy "FastActivate.exe" to your device

I just made your method but still the same fastactivate can not activate the card I always meta.dct error

There is no meta code available for Europe_South_1GB_1030_9525 therefore it will not activate....Southern_Europe 1030_9525 is a completely different map

You need to find another map with a matching meta code before you try and activate it

I said crisp and clear but I think you don,t have a clue

By now you should know that

1.Look if the navcore you use or going to use is compatible with the map(s) you want to use.
2.Look if there is a meta code for the map(s) you want to use.
3.If there is no meta code available downloading the map(s) is a waste of time.

ok I confuse 2 cards so from where the meta that does not work.

Could I ask you for a link from a southern europe map for a max 1GB gps with the meta that works?
as I find myself there more.

Download Poteo_Roke's excel document and find the map that suits you the best:

topic20675.html

For the 1GB maps there are no meta codes availble so follewing Fredderf advise and choise some map that fit on a 1GB device.

There are no maps from southern europe 1Gb
I think you mean Europe_South_1GB

You can start telling us witch map you need and don,t ask too much (only the country(s) you are going to drive. And these days,s for about 130 Euro you have a TomTom with live time maps (free). Maybe it is time to buy a new satnav.

Yes, I meant Europe_South_1FR, otherwise for the countries it is France, Spain finally countries bordering France.
Regarding the purchase of a new GPS would be welcome and much more practical surely but my budget is not there and my tomtom xl works very well.
