Problem with map - You cannot use this map on this device -

Hi All,

Trying to update an old Tomtom One V3 UK but ran into a problem. I have read many threads and after a few hours i thought i would ask for help and admit defeat.

I did not update the navcore so this may be why but i thought i would ask and aid anyone else who runs into this.

Device Information:
Current Navcore = 8.010
Current Map = v705.1485
New Navcore = Did not change this
New Map = 1080_11181

Install Method
1. Deleted all files listed under the oe map folder
2. Copied over the new map information to this folder (did not rename the folder to include the 1080_11181 part)
3. FastActivate in root directory - updated meta, patched map, updated gps
5. Disconnected and turned on.


Note - I assume the Update Meta automatically enters the key from the list as i did not enter this?

Have you patched the navcore to (FA no.3)

Thanks Holyhead, despite not changing the navcore i did not realise you have to update it anyhow.

This now works so thank you
