Question Mazda nav3 maps: Deleting files to fit them to nav2

Postby Yakzuby » Wed Jul 25, 2018 1:43 pm

Hi!

Regarding the nav3 maps (for example Europe_Zone_X 1011.9028) that can be used in nav2 models with navcore 9, I have read in other forums that some files (arp_*, adpoints_*, postal_*, asrgrammarinfo.xml and some folders) can be deleted as they are not used by nav2 systems. Is that correct?

In these maps, the file "cphoneme.dat" is missing. How will that affect to LoquendoTTS?
Is it possible to use the "cphoneme.dat" from a different, bigger, map as for example Europe 1011.8977?

I'm currently using a Tomtom XL IQ Routes (S/N: RSxxxx) with 2GB (No SD), 64 MB RAM and navcore 9.510 installed with Downunder35m's Universal Navcore Installer.

Thank you!!

Yes, that is correct...you can delete all of the extra files but you need to leave the following:

brand\
borders.dat
citymap.dat
citymap.met
cline.dat
cname.dat
cnode.dat
crpoi.dat
faces.dat
faces.met
housenrs.dat
mapinfo.dat
overview.dat
overview.met
poi.dat
profiles.dat
tables.dat
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat
Europe_Zone_X.pna
Europe_Zone_X-101532.meta.meta

I can't answer any more of your questions as I've never actually done it myself...the best thing to do is to try it and see
