Thanks for your help

It's not booted up in record time?

You're welcome...I think?

That error indicates that the map is not activated correctly...1060 meta codes are currrently not included within FastActivate so you need to use a file called mymeta.txt...download it from [Please Register or Login to download file] extract it to the root of your XL IQ and run FastActivate option 2

Is it just happening to me? The link above to mymeta.txt just opens a lot of spam pages, virus varnings and other rubbish. Had to kill the computer to stop it. Now I have lot of adware popping up all the time.

[Please Register or Login to download file] reports the site as being safe, contains no malicious software and shows no signs of phishing. Even if I temporarily turn my PC security off, I don't get any of the spam you're talking about so I suspect your system already needed some attention in regards to updating or setup.

In the meantime, the free version of MalwareBytes will easily sort out any malware problems.

Must just be me then as that link noref.php?url=https://bayfiles.com/97t90es2p8 in post post181039.html#p181039 downloads perfectly but gives (just) me that error message when I try to extract,

All other .rar's work just fine but don't worry guys as I was only checking & don't use this F/A method anyway

Maybe your installed version of WinRAR needs updating to version 5.0?

No, I'm running WinRAR 6.0 and also WinRAR 5.71 with same result. Maybe I'll try to uninstall both & re-install 5.71
