I downloaded country maps in these versions whose meta code is known and it works. The problem for France is that the sale is blocked by Tomtom and the meta code can not be found. (function available in FastActivate).
I copied all the meta codes found on the internet into a Excel ile using the CSV mode. I was able to extract all the cards whose available code is compatible with the device (Navcore 8.083)
Tomtom will just want us to throw our devices in the trash for new ones instead of giving us access to EXISTING MAPS.
(Simply look this post maps-v1xxx/tomtom-v1025-map-collection-t21099.html)
Sincerely yours.

Holyhead has already asked you both which version of bootloaders (not navcores) you have installed:

So it is simpel you can,t update this bootloader that means there are on the moment no maps
availble for your one. Over and out.

So by blocking the purchase of cards in some areas Tomtom also blocks the ability to install cards with reduced coverage compared to the original card of the device.
This device is not mine. I am trying to troubleshoot a friend who has never done any update and has the cartography France 900.4608.
If it is possible to install a more recent map, it will be good. I will not risk damaging his device without first experimenting with manipulation.
Or do you have a user manual that guarantees the update of the Navcore?

ok.
Looks like my device is a real vintage collector
Thanks to both of you for helping.

I'm jumping in this thread since I also have a Tomtom One 30 series, and am desperate to update it.
The device infos are as follow:
PBxxxxxxxxxx serial number, => TomTom ONE 30 Series with (internal) 1GB memory
Bootloader S5.5011
Navcore 8.010
Current map: Europe_1GB_west 870.3417
What am I to expect ? To install reasonably recent maps, do I have to go all the way and update the Bootloader (to which version ?), then the Navcore (again, version ?), and finally find a map without all the fancy features that will fit in its ridiculously small 1 Gb internal memory (Europe_1GB_west 1025.9432 ?)
Or am I stuck with 3 years old maps, like version 970 if the Bootloader and the Navcore cannot be upgraded on this model ?
Thanks in advance for your thoughtfull advices !
