Before you begin, back up your primary memory, either internal or SD card.
If you use a SD or SDHC card for additiomal storage only, then you need a copy of your device's ttgo.bif on this card before patching.
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sd card in your sd reader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched.

Hi I have a problem with .dct i don't have this file in folder with map ver. map Europe 1015.9108. my ver. nav 9540.

There are NO metas for these 1015 maps yet because TT have not even officially released them to the public (AT THE TIME OF THIS POST)!
When they do then hope & pray that someone else buys the map you want & then creates/shares the meta.

Argentina and Uruguay 1015 9110 error whilst activating. The following message shows up

2. Select option 1 > a file called Updated_meta.txt is created
3. Rename that file to META.txt
4. Now select option 2 to activate the map

What is the result?

Never had issues, first time I have the same ERROR.
Tried Central_Europe_1015_9156 and Italia_1015_9156
Fastactivate v25.3.2018 (tried autoupdate but there are no updates), updated meta (update 03-09 18:57) and renamed meta.txt same error.
Tried to insert meta code:
44 EF 84 BF 48 48 E7 5B 7A 3F F8 C1 AD 12 9E 7D Italia-101717.meta ; Italia 1015_9156
manually in the .txt but same error.
What is wrong this time?

Make sure you rename Updated_meta.txt to META.txt...it activates fine

I edited my post above...I was wrong about the 48 thing, it was just a test

Make sure you rename Updated_meta.txt to META.txt (NOT meta.txt)...it will activate fine, I've tested it myself

For the map, I found a solution, I don't know why but I think the problem is fastactivate (I'm on win7 x64, tried also disabling Avast AV, restart windows and so on), maybe need an update.
The only way to generate a .dct is to RE-extract fastactivate from the .rar, insert the .bif and the .meta of the map, then launch the .exe and do the update of the meta (no need to rename it). After doing that the .dct is generate correctly.
NOTE that, for testing, if I delete the .dct created and I try to reactivate the same map the program generate the error described above and does not activate the 1015 map anymore (but works with older).
I'm courious if the user above had the same issue, however if someone have problem with 1015 maps I suggest to do what i have done, redownload fastactivate o re-extract the file (if you already have it on the pc) in a different name folder, copy your .bif, put the meta of the 1015 map in the folder, update the meta and do the activation. For me it worked, for only the first time but it worked. To recreate another .dct i have to do the same process again, re-extract and so on.

Found the problem, AVAST does not permit to load the page and does not show any notify... well... very well...

This is interesting...thanks for your work, I'm using the same OS, different AV but I think this makes no difference

I've been doing similar tests but done by putting FastActivate.exe & ttgo.bif into the Italia 1015_9156 map folder which is local on the PC
I don't think you need to extract/re-extract FastActivate as I haven't done that for a very long time but I can recreate the error & the fix over & over again...

Run FA > select option 2 > *.dct error > press any key to continue > repeat > same result > select option 1 > *.dct ok > exit FA

Now delete *.dct file only and try it again but remember that the same FA & Updated_meta with all correct meta codes is still there....

Run FA > select option 2 > *.dct error > press any key to continue > repeat > same result > select option 1 > *.dct ok > exit FA

Long story short...regardless of FA & already updated_meta files, if you get a *dct error you must select option 1 and then will it work correctly
Or to put it another way, if the date line on FA is written in red it won't work...select option 1 which turns the date line blue, it works
