does it really matter where the server is located? It's the same map after all.

I noticed that but if you change the language then you understand how to do it and it is like Biggerdave said the place of the server is not important.

I'm having trouble dealing with multiple folders in a map. Eg for New Zealand there are 4 parts. I have extracted each part. Do I put 4 separate folders on the device, or do I put the all the files from each folder onto the device in one folder, although many of the files appear to be the same.

It's one map that's been split into 4 parts with WinRAR...

To reassemble > put all of the downloaded parts into one place > right click on one of the files & select 'Extract here' > WinRAR will recompile the map into one map folder with all the parts inside > the resulting map folder now just needs to be copied to your device & activated

Activation won't be possible because no meta codes for any New Zealand 1020 map have been released yet...you should read the tutorial:

topic19485.html

However you can activate either of these maps from the previous 1015 series:

New_Zealand 1015_9107
New_Zealand 1015_9110

Thanks for your help with this, I'll give it a go and let you know how I go.

I did realise that there no NZ meta code yet, I was using it as a trial for the extraction process, and it is a map that I will use if it becomes available any way.

Thanks again, Kurrajong

You have to use MydriveConnect. Explore it with a pc is no longer possible. If you have free maps you can download them via
MyDriveConnect. If you don,t have free maps you have to buy them.

Hi,

Usually I'm not to bad in this kind of stuff, but here I'm facing an issue. I have a TomTom Go 710, I managed to upgrade the Bootloader, and to install a Navcore 9.5.10, now I'm facing issues with the maps. I tried to follow the steps her, but it did not work quite well.

I use FastActive 23.06.2017 (latest I found), I first tried Europe_Central_1020_9272 but got a .dct ERROR. As the generate Updated_meta.txt from FastActive generates a list with old versions, I then tried to copy the list from this thread in the file http://navitotal.com/viewtopic.php?f=180&t=20960 So I picked version Central_Europe_1020_9244, but again I get a .dct error

What I'm I missing or doing wrong?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There must be a meta available in order to activate map. There is no meta available for those two maps.

Maybe you are not bad in this kind of stuff but the main rule is read carefully.

There is no meta available for those maps that means they can,t be activated.

Europe_Central_1020_9272
Central_Europe_1020_9244

So first read carefully
