Can anyone suggest a suitable UK truck map that can be activated for use on a 1gb tomtom xl with navcore 9.702?

It can't be done as the Truck map is far too big to fit on a 1GB device

Sadly there's no such thing. Europe_Truck is all you can use. Either use a larger SD card if you have a slot for it or try your hand at soldering something like this post181292.html?hilit=soldering#p181292

Thank you for your answers. In the first post above is a list of 1075 Truck maps which includes one for the UK. The UK Truck Map is 810MB which I downloaded and it just fits within the Tomtom memory but I've not been able to activate it using fast activator. I assume the meta is not available. I did a search through all the theads looking for an earlier release but could'nt find one so wondered anyone knew of one?

No, the the smaller truck maps (inc the UK one) are for the newer NAV4 devices...your XL 1GB is an older NAV2 so it is not suitable. The only NAV2 truck maps available are far too big to fit on your 1GB XL so I'm afraid you're out of luck unless you try soldering an SD card inside as biggerdave suggested above.

Thank you so much for your answer I now understand. I've looked at biggerdave link on soldering in an SD card but dont think some of the solder points are clear enough for my soldering skills. I did a google search to try and find the original site without any luck, does anybody have more information.
