Thank you for the reply. Looking at the picture but I don't understand how to find the corresponding code for my own device. Does it have instructions for use? Or can a drop-down menu be made by selecting the device?

The first thing you need to know is what version of Navcore (operating system) you have on your system so you can find a compatible map for it...your Navcore is version 8.413

Actually, I've had a look at it for you and the following would be a good choice as it just contains Germany, Austria & Switzerland so it's only 450MB to download:

I barely understood the picture and found my core version. I was just wondering why you suggested 954 instead of 862? what is the difference between the two? Shouldn't we choose the dark green one? How do we make the selection?
In the phone app we have a chance to download for Germany as a state or country. No chance to download here only in germany?

When I look at the bottom table as color; Light Blue Color looks good with my device.
"863,864,865,866" There is an asterisk below them.
"954,957,962" these have no stars and only one has TTS.

I downloaded the map you mentioned. It gave an error.

You have a very old device with only 32mb of RAM so it'll struggle with advanced features and may prove to be unreliable when on the road...this is why I suggested 954. Btw, 862 is for Carminat although you can still use it.

You can try any map you like providing it is compatible and has a meta code, it's up to you.

There are regions of Germany to choose from but maps and their coverage are better explained here

When you installed 954, did you activate it successfully and did you patch the system to accept downloaded maps? Options 2 & 3 on Fastactivate?

The easiest way to load maps to the memory cards of devices with Tomtom maps is as follows.
First, if the device's official and current operating system is up-to-date, update them and after the updates are finished, you will have more space on the device if you trick them by using the removal option in the application menu with Tomtom Home or Tomtom MyDrive, whichever your device is compatible with.
Use the TTActivator application to download and activate the map. If the downloaded map is to be loaded onto a memory card, you can download it to your computer with TTActivator and then use R-Link Explorer to transfer the map to the card. You can see the necessary application links and a short video on the subject, in a clear and understandable way, on this subject, Mr. Fredderf, the manager.
