Special v1030 maps

Activation of maps with equivalent metas. If you have a map that has no meta, you may be able to activate it if there is an equivalent meta.

So, in simple terms (Iberia_1030_9578 example):

Download/decompress/copy the map that you want to activate (but for which you don't have the meta).
Delete the relavent .meta file
Copy into the map folder the .meta file from the other map (same country - compatible as number) for the same country
Activate the map with the usual system.

For example:

Copy map Iberia_1030_9578
Delete map Iberia_1030_9578 meta file (Iberia-102003.meta)
Copy the meta of Iberia_1030_9525 (Iberia-101953.meta) that has meta code into map Iberia_1030_9478 folder
Unlock the map.

The equivalent numbers are:

• 1030_9508 = 1030_9509 = 1030_9510 = 1030_9574 = 1030_9625
• 1030_9519 = 1030_9520 = 1030_9521 = 1030_9533 = 1030_9562
• 1030_9525 = 1030_9526 = 1030_9527 = 1030_9543 = 1030_9545 = 1030.9547 = 1030_9560 = 1030_9578

Very important: only when the size of the meta files that we are going to change are the same

Hello, I don't quit understand how to handle, I have map Europe_1GB_North_1030_9578 without meta.
Is it possible to use an other meta, so that I can activate this map?

No, to do that you'd need another Europe_1GB_North map that already has a meta code...which there isn't

Is there a download anywhere of JUST the .meta files for 1030? It would save the pain of having to re-download a whole archive when I already have a complete map - just not the right .meta to validate (I'm using my legit tomtom myconnect download cache uncompressed which has given me a 9575.. guessing it's close to a 9574)

No, there isn't...you'd need to download the other map independently

I have a very hacked tomtom ONE that I'm still using with 1020 maps.
I also have a Start 25 with unlimited Europe maps which is unhacked. So that one is legit.
When I download the map update using myconnect to the Start 25, it leaves the cache on the disk after updating the Start 25.
I uncompress the cache using ttjde to a tar file then extract the map data from that.
Unfortunately I've got a Europe_1030_9575 which looking on the charts looks closest to a 9574.
So all I really need is a Europe-101999.meta from 9574 to replace the Europe-102000.meta.
But if I still have to go through all the hassle of downloading the complete 9574 then I guess this post is really just academic as it's not saving me any time or frustration downloading at low speeds

EDIT: It only works absolutely fine, thanks again for that upload, it saved a day of download!
SO to summarise: 1030_9574 101999.meta can be used on a 1030_9575 (was 102000.meta) map. Pls feel free to add to the list, even though there are no "in the wild" maps with 9575 it's the one I'm getting from TomTom so it's all good.

I want to use compatible meta of map 9525 for the map 9578 but there are two files 102003.meta in the 9578 map folder, a file type META and a file type DCT. Must replace the two files with the two files 101953.meta (META and DCT type) of the 9525 or only one?

Only the meta the dct you got after activation from the map.
