Western Europe maps for memory modded XL IQ Routes ?

Postby Vaako » Tue May 11, 2021 8:12 pm

Hi,

I'm somewhat confused and I hope someonce can help me out here.

My device is a XL IQ Routes has a 4gb memory modification and therefore I can use 2gb and up maps.

I was about to install Western Europe 1065 10740 that comes in 3 parts but when unpacking part-2 it reports file already exist and the overwriting file is smaler than the one already unpacked from part-1.
Also unpacking part-3 gives same issues.

So you understand my confusion.

What am I missing here ?

It sounds like your using a 3 part WinRAR archive...put all 3 parts in the same place > right click on one of the parts and choose extract here > all 3 parts should extract into the same folder with no problems

Referring to your other post about NC 9.485...your XXL should be using the latest official navcore for your device which is NC 9.541, you can download it from the link below:

@fredderf
Thanks for the tip, my device was already on 9.451 I dident know that.

About the map extraction.
I put all these files in the same folder.

Western_Europe_1_1065_10740.rar
Western_Europe_2_1065_10740.rar
Western_Europe_3_1065_10740.rar

Then I extract the first file with the option "extract here" and it creates a folder named Western_Europe_1_1065_10740
So it does not take the second and third part automatically, and if I try to extract them with "extract here" they also creates folders Western_Europe_2_1065_10740 and Western_Europe_3_1065_10740

I already asked Pompey about this, mabe he has a solution for it.

No, that's different...Western Europe 1 1065_10740 , 2 and 3 are three separate maps with different country coverages...secondly, they are also designed for a NAV3 device whereas your XXL is a NAV2 device. You can still use a 1065_10740 map although there are some erroneous files contained within that would need to be removed. Personally, I would recommend using Western Europe 1065.10690 which is 2.63GB, it is a NAV2 map and it also capable of Cspeech (if you use a computer voice)...it's your choice

How do you tell which is a NAV2/NAV3 map? It's detailed at the bottom of the compatibility chart, read the tutorial here

What are the country coverages in each individual map? Download and study Poteo_Roke's excel sheet which will explain the differences here
