I am french and I try to write in english. I know this website for several years. I help soe people around me to use their Tomtom GPS as free as possible. Navcore is V8.083 and last installed map installed is FRANCE V900.4608.

I am now trying to update this Tomtom One 2008 (s/n start with PN). It seams that for several latest updates the meta code is not in the list of meta code update downloaded with Fastactivate. For exemple, I am trying to activate France 1010.8892 and it doesn't work. I have tryed several previous version of FRANCE map without succes.

When I use Tomtom Home, it tells me that this device is obsolete. But this morning I downloaded Greece 1005.8767 map and installed it near France 900.4608 in the same memory, and the two maps work perfectly. I think that Tomtom don't want to continue to sell these maps and prefere to sell new device. But for us it is very too expensive. The memory of the device is 1 Go, France map is about 470 Mo and Greece is about only 50 Mo. All that must work together.

Do you know a way to solve this problem for the France 1010 or previous? or to find easily such metacode? or do you know te last France version with meta abble to with navcore 8.083?

That makes sense because Greece 1005.8767 is compatible with your navcore and it DOES have a meta code released.
However, France 1010.8892 does NOT have a meta code released so of course it won't activate.

You need to find a France map or Zone that is both compatible with your navcore AND has a meta code...

Both of the following maps include France/are compatible with NC 8.083/and have meta codes available...so choose one of these to go with the Greece map you already have

Europe South 1GB 995.8511 = 675MB
Europe West 1GB 980.7971 = 484MB
