The procedure is always the same and explained many times in several threads.
Download your map, add it to your device, use FastActivate Premium and press the first three buttons

Sorry, I can't find the maps
Isn't there a link to detailed instructions ?
Are the maps even suitable for standalone TomTom devices ?

Please do yourself a favour and check our forum structure!
We have a good help and tutorial section as well as sections for maps, voices and everything else.
The latest maps can also be found in the sticky threads in the general section.
All you have to do is to read the instructions provided

Oh dear sorry must be dim. I've tried my best I downloaded an instaled the pack activated it, but when I turn the TomTom on it says no map found, :( any more clues

OK it all works now thanks. I was wondering is it possible to upgrade past Navicore 7, using some clever method. Also it would be great if I could get the postcodes to work as that option wasn't included in the TomTom Go when I bought it, (there isn't an option to search for postcodes in the menus)

You can install basically any NC you like, some have some drawbacks though.
Since it is a very limited device you might not be able to use things like Loquendo voices.
A good start would be the 9.205 or the 9.405 but make a full backup of the working device using Windows Explorer first

OK thanks I've updated the maps on a couple of devices but the postcode doesn't work properly. I can only enter the first half of the postcode like w11 ?
I installed map 860.3868 do I have to install a different map to get postcodes ?

Hello i am from the netherlands and not the smartes
Today i tried via u torrent to put on a card from usa , it didnt work.
Now i want to download a card with automatic installer and FastActivate usa from about 750 MB and put it on a new SD card (2GB)

My tomtom on intern

One xl Appl 8.010 systeem 190943 32Ram
GPS v1.21 Boot 5.5022
map canary island/ western europe


On a SD card my son put about 3 years ago a new map and appl :
Appl 8.310 system 269512 32 ram
gps v1.20 Boot 5.5022 map v 830.2305


What to do . A what is the best map to download from usa it is for holiday west usa/ and hawaii
B How to download a map , em what will it coast
C how to put it on a new SD card and make i it work

It will be the same questions but i already read a lot and try a lot but it will not happen :dash3

There is no cost!!
Put a copy of your XL's ttgo.bif on a SD card.
Navcore. Go here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation Read the instructions carefully. Select Navcore 9.205. Per the instructions, copy it to your card.
Map. Go here: 885 maps with installer and FastActivate Read the instructions carefully. Select United States 2GB 885.4088. Per the instructions, copy it to your card.
