tomtom for wince

Postby meadyyyy » Sat May 11, 2013 8:43 am

hiya all

never used tomtom but everyone seems to rave about it so would like to have a look and see what all the fuss is about.
could someone supply me with relevant files to put on my wince based gps (presume from reading that only navcore 7 will work) and anything else i need to know

thanks in advance

Apart from the fact that we have a dedicated section for the CE version TT is outdated and CE is dead (MS stopped all support for it).
If you want proper navigation with much more features check IGO, the 8.3 version should work fine.

Besides, TT does not work on WinCE 6.

With a little help of a friend and the right route it works on Wince 6.0. But it is basic navigation.

Not worth it IMO. In fact, TT WinCE not worth it. Much better with iGO.

If your device is wince 6, then it's not worth the hassle.

I also have a GO720 that I just updated with NC 9.510 along with my WinCE Mio. It's a real TT device that is Linux-based. Any iGO will not work with TT or Garmin - only WinCE. Without using punctuation marks, see how your post can be confused.

I would even say if you bought a CE based DVD/GPS then you wasted your money.
CE and WM have no longer support from Microsoft, it is a dead OS.
Android is the future ;)

I would say the iGO 8 installation you have is corrupted, may be worth installing a new build..?
