My Via maps are now 3yrs out of date, can a 120 be updated other than TTs own web site? Thanks

I id but as the topic drifted off into some complicated conversaion about xml files tcp and the like, just though id ask for a straight forward yes or no. It appear not, so off to Halfords for a new sat nav, perhaps i might impose to ask how i could avoid getting into a similar situation again buying a dead end like the Via 120. Any rule of thumb to follow such as must have accessible drive or similar. Thanks

Non of the new tomtoms can be updated with copied maps. Have a look in Halfords, there are some new models that have a free maps for life offer. If not - get an old model that can connect to a PC for updates.
