Great!!! Glad you got it sorted. The SE 9.465 ttsystem file is defaulted to X40. You can change it to X50, if needed for missing X50 features, by creating a model.txt file in the SDHC root.

No. A X50 model.txt file is attached. Follow the post 20 instructions, if you need it.

well the new maps were working great till this afternoon =(
satnav seemed to crash when i was out and about. kept turning off and back on =( then the unit decided it wouldnt recognise the maps on the sdhc. got home and have formatted the sdhc and re-done everything back onto the card. still no joy =( wondering if its because its a live device or something else.
wondering if i can just format the sdhc, patch original NC and stick whatever maps i want onto sdhc?
all help as always greatly appreciated

1. This sort of issue does not happen for no reason. Something had to have been changed to cause this. Confirm that you weren't tinkering with the unit at any time prior to this problem.
2. formatting isn't necessary. Is the unit acting normal with the SDHC card removed?

1. wasnt tinkering =( although it did come up on the screen about joining feedback programme i think? but said no to that. it came up several times.
2. unit is perfect without the sdhc in it. even went on to tomtom home to do an update so not sure whats happened?
tried a different card but still no joy =(
not sure what to do now apart from patch the original nc and load up the sdhc with maps if that'll work
