Can you help me ?
Thx

Look for a Europe-297.meta.dct file in your Europe map folder. If no file, the map is not patched. If the file is there, then navcore is not patched.

Thanks for this. Very Useful. Downloaded required maps suitable for ONE and GO. Don't own either myself but friends are highly delighted with updates to their devices and wish to covey their thanks to uploader

You must patch both navcore & map.

Hello, i use tomtom in my pocket pc since years, maps 860 work well, 865 start and freeze, using albert's, its probably compatibility with tomtom 7.9 pocket pc version...
Thank for the replies.

Problem may be related to the 'mapsettings.cfg file (in the 865 map folder). Rename it (mapsetting.cfg.old'?), reboot PPC and try. If this works, you can delete the renamed mapsettings.cfg.old file, a new one will have automatically been created - the format of this file is not always compatible between maps.

1. NO, NO
Make sure it is not related to the "mapsettings.cfg" (simply rename the file to test it and change the name back if it was not the cause).
To get a correct version of this file without loosing your favorites connect your Tomtom to
Tomtom Home and use "operate my Go" to manually add a favorite - you can choose any address you like.
Exit and restart your Tomtom which now has a rewritten "mapsettings.cfg" file.
If everything works fine you can delete the newly added "dummy" favorite.
