I downloaded the Iberia map 865.3245 and unzipped and copied to the SD-card, replaced the speech files by 0Kb versions (use navecore 8562 on a ONE XL 32Mb).
Run the "Fastactivate ENG 09.01.2011 {1.8.03}, YES FIRST download/update the "meta.txt" option of this program. Than patching the maps.
This works perfect, but when i start the Tomtom and boots with the map "france_865_3245" this is still OK, when I change map to "Iberia" it freeces the Tomtom and I have to use the reset-button.
Can any one confirm the map 'Iberia' on the first page of this discussion is OK and not corrupt?
Why is only this map freecing my Tomtom?

No problem with the map. Problems start when users try to modify them. For what reason did you attempt to modify this map?

For memory consumption and speed and not freece up of your Tomtom, it is adviced in the forums to change the original speech files to 0kb file for Tomtom with 32Mb memory. To use the new maps 865 on a Tomtom One XL with 32Mb memory, you need a higher navecore than the original 8010.
So i patched to navecore 8562 and updated the bootloader to 55022. This all is working fine, no problems.
I downloaded 865 maps from this forum, like italy, france, and united-kingdeom. Replaced the speech files in these maps by 0kb files.
All maps run fine, but only the iberia map does freece up.
I even tried the iberia map without changing the speech file, and it still freeces. It is only this iberia map.
I have a feeling there is a wrong meta file used by the "Fastactivate ENG 09.0.1.2011 {1.8.03}" for the iberia map, while all other maps work fine.
I have no options to prove my feeling, so i hope there is any help to find out.

1. This is not correct. Using the proper map is correct. If the proper map is not available, then delete the cspeech files.
2. Correct b/l for 8.562 is 5.5138.
3. Proper maps is the correct way.
4. There does appear to be a problem with Iberia 3245, which is not the map you want.
5. FA 1.8 can't use a wrong file.

Correct maps for you are:

France_865_3246[384.4MB]

Iberia_865_3246 [280.6MB]

This version for Italy or UK&ROI has not been posted yet.

Does anybody know what is the difference between "Western and Central Europe 865.3245" and "Europe 865.3245"?

There is only 20 bytes difference in size and description in Tomtom's site seems identical.

TomTom is weird.

Can you imagine that we have here a lot of major / main roads working for more than 2 years now and they still don't show in new 865???? Same with an highway that used to be free (we called SCUT) and that pays fee since August 2010 and also still showing on new 865 as free...

Guess i should have bought another brand... lol
