Though alternative link with installer exists, people that download first 3 files or don't discover before after 11 files that file no. 4 is corrupt - spend a bit of wasted time as the two files are not identical. Maybe a service like multiupload dot com would reduce such problems.

It is not a problem of the hoster.
A good download manager will recover corrupt files if the download was incomplete.
You can not blame us if you can't download the files correctly.

Multiupload only helps to kill the links faster, once a link is killed at one hoster multiupload kills the other right away.

so i downloaded and used the USA and Canada 870.3417_Installer and the map did not run. probably because i dont have a patched navcore. tendriver asked what navcore i had so i restored my TOMTOM ONE back to the intial settings and map but i still see the same error? so porbably i need to reinstall everything again or just get a patched navcore so that the USA and Canada 870.3417_Installer will work with it (and thus no need for the restored files)

Download these pre-patched files:

SE_ttsystem.8.562.438269.rar

Copy the ttsystem & PNDNavigator into your device. Reboot.

Done.

STill get the error
"Problem with map
You cannot use this map on this device" etc

should i reinstall the maps now? using "USA and Canada 870.3417_Installer.part1.exe"?

Your snapshot pic in your post 185 appears to be from TT Home "Operate my device". Is that where you are having the problem?

NO this time i turned the device on itself
but even earlier at that time the same error was displayed either way (TT Home or device itself)
