I INSTALLED THE USA_and_Canada_870_3417] with Automatic Installer & Patcher
AND AFTER INSTALLING EVERYTHING AND REMOVING THE USA_and_CANADA FOLDER THAT WAS ORIGINALLY THERE
I STARTED THE TOMTOM AND IT SAID (A RED BACKGROUND APPEARS)
"PROBLEM WITH MAP
YOU CAN NOT USE THIS MAP ON THIS DEVICE:
USA_and_CANADA"
THERE IS A CONTINUE BUTTON AT THE BOTTOM
IF I CLICK THAT
IT GIVES ME A LIST OF MAPS AND THERE IS ONLY ONE (THE ONE I INSTALLED)
IF I SELECT IT AGAIN THE SAME MESSAGE APPEARS

PLEASE ADVISE!

Confirm that you have either patched or are using a pre-patched navcore.
Confirm that your map is patched by seeing a .meta & .meta.dct file in the map folder.

yes both files are there in the USA_and_Canada_870_3417 folder. they dont have the same name as the folder though (if thats important)

if by patch you mean installing a crack on the gps so that such maps downloaded from unofficial sites can work
then no.
if thats the case lemme know the details

hi,i was trying to install the new UK/ROI maps 870.3419 on my Go750. after rebooting the device,it gives me the message "PROBLEM WITH MAP
YOU CAN NOT USE THIS MAP ON THIS DEVICE" my old map version was 850.2734.i did follow all the instructions.

1. You chose the wrong map. 870.3419 doesn't have the IQ/ALG or Cspeech/ASR features. You want 870.3406 which does.
2. A patched map requires a patched navcore.

@tendriver: thanks-i will download the 870.3406.btw-i have navcore v9.053,do i need to patch it also?

Question: Would it make a difference if I upgrade to Navcore 9.205.547817 ?

1. Congrats!!
2. No. In fact, you really didn't help yourself by going from 9.053 to 9.150. 9.150 is an official navcore for the XL IQ Routes2, which is a Mid Range unit. 9.053 is the official navcore for your GO 750, which is a High End unit.
