At the present time, the main difference is Europe_West_895_4444 does not have a meta code posted & is not usable. Europe_1GB_West v895.4444 does have a meta code & is usable.

Technical difference: To quote t6eh2, "Larger map is more detailed." The 4444 maps are featureless to start with. The 1GB version has been cut down to fit in 1GB devices.

I checked several other forums to confirm mardo's claim. All of them had the same meta as we have in post 1. In post 133, I asked margo for the source of his claim. NO reply from him.
I just did a follow up check of the other forums & all of them still have the same meta as we have in post 1.

My xl continues stating that you can not use the map ...

I will do a new installation put the map and try again. I've done it before, but every time I run FA the meta.txt file does not have meta to this map, then I edit the meta.txt, but if I run FA again the issue disappears ... Is this normal?

1. This is the classic message for an unpatched map with a patched navcore.
2. This is not necessary.
3. This meta is new, & FastActive has not been updated to include it.
4. Very Good!!

1 - I edited META.TXT including 895.4472;
2 - I ran again the FA; "2. This is not necessary." So what is the correct method?
3 - After that the file META.TXT returned to the state prior to my edit (add 895.4472). Got it "3. This meta is new, & FastActive has not been updated to include it."
4 - I still can not use the map ... : (

I'm sorry for the horrible english, I'm using google translate.

Can you explain me what I'm doing wrong?

1. You can't edit the META.TXT file. You create a new meta.txt file with the needed meta in it.
2. I was referring to you doing a new map installation.
3. The META.TXT file did this, because as stated in post 1, You can't edit the META.TXT file.
4. Because the map was still not patched.

Your english is probably better than most of us english peoples second language so no apologise necessary.

As for the FastActive, yes I believe the heading on the download is 'slightly' miss-leading, in as far that it sounds as if once downloaded we don't need to update the meta file at a later date, 'which is how the older version used to be' as it updated and downloaded any new meta files for us each time it was run, where this one does not, which means constantly checking for new meta files if you have more than the one map to get working.

It sounds as if he/she did not have the correct meta file, because FastActive does not update the meta's any longer.
