Since the chart doesn't indicate any, is anyone aware of any differences between United States 855.2931 And United States 855.2982?

I have to query the accuracy of the quoted statement in RED because I activated a bought map copied from my device with Lifetime Updates to my old device using nothing but FastActivate. Here are the steps I did:

1. Deleted Map folder on old device
2. Copied Map folder from new device to old device directly from device to device on seperate USB ports.
3. Deleted the .DCT files (map & fuelstations) from Map folder on old device.
4. Copied FastActivate to root of old device.
5. Ran FastActivate ... Maps/Voice/Speedcams option ... wanted to see if I could get away with out patching Navcore... it was no good.
6. Deleted the .DCT files again
7. Ran FastActivate ... ttystem/PNDNavigate ... did not restart/reboot device ... selected Maps/Voice/Speedcams.
8. Restarted the device and it seems to be working fine with the new map.

A word of caution ... do not use FastActivate with two devices connected at the same time. Somehow or other the Map on the new device was invalidated and had to be recovered using a TT Home Restore.

To answer your query, that statement is 100% accurate & correct. A device owner had created a meta (blowfish) that allows the map to be used by anyone and had already shared it. You were able to patch your bought map, when you ran FastActivate, because the shared meta was already in the meta.txt file, that is a part of FastActivator.
5. To use a map, speed cams, etc, that are patched, the navcore must also be patched
