All New Maps 860

Postby rlexyd » Sat Nov 27, 2010 10:58 pm

Hi All,
Thank you for the New Map.

I have a TomTom One XL, I'm in Australia.
My SD Card got Damaged so I had to buy another SD Card and attempt a fresh installation with the Map from this website (286023N/Australia_860_3123).
First I formatted the SD Card, I am using windows XP Pro SP3.
Than I installed the TomTom Home and Updated the TomTom with the required updates.
Than I copied and Pasted the Map I downloaded from here to folder I named MAP in the root directory and inside that Folder I named another folder (Australia) and placed the files in there.
I than downloaded the (ENG_FastActivate_27.10.2010_Premium_edition_v1.7) and placed it in the root directory and ran it, all seemed to be ok.
I than realized I needed to restart the TomTom if on a fresh install to get the (ttgo.bif), so I restarted it and ran the FastActivate again to patch the Map.

Now it says No Map Found!!!

This is frustrating me as I have been trying for a while and nothing seems to work?

Hope someone can help.

Best Regards,

Thank you for your response.

Yes, I clicked on that button and patched it.
I tried again later and it said already patched.

I just did it now and it pops up with a box saying "Already Patched ???" and in the white command box it said "Can't find"

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
I did that but it still said no map found that why I tried to patch it again.
I have formated SD Card now andd going through the TomTom Home updates process again, after updates are done I will move new map to a folder in root directory called (Australia) than run three patches, than restart TomTom and run fourth map patch than unplug TomTom and restart and see what happens.

Shouldn't take long, one thing it keeps turning on with different languages everytime and though I choose Engilsh.

Will update in 5min on status.

your official navcore is 8.010 so you need new navcore (austalia 860.3100 works with this 8.010)

OR

here is http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?2831-TomTom-Automatic-Navcore-Installation
SE_navcore.8.410.1218_32mb_Devices.rar

download it read instructions for install

1. We don't recommend formatting, except in extreme cases.
2. Do Not put the Australia folder in that MAP folder.

1. Not necessary or advised.
2. We don't use TT Home to load navcores.
3. OK
4. Why 4 patches?

Hi PiEtU,

I did as you advised and it Wrked :) Thank You!
I downloaded the (SE_navcore.8.410.1218_32mb_Devices.rar) from that page and installed it directly onto the TomTom and than ran the AutoActivate.exe and it fixed it!
All that was missing was the voices but I already had them backed up so I just copies an pasted them in there and it worked great now :)

How do I go about updating it if I shouldn't use TomTom Home? Or can I still use it?

Also, is this TomTom latest MAP? (Australia_860_3123), which would would which year?

PayPal Donation is on it's way :) Apparently can't donate with PayPal? I don't have a CC, can I have an email to donate to with PayPal?
