Thanks for that. I'll sit on my hands for a while. However, as I have already been a nuisance today already:-) .... The link to the latest version of FastActivate seems to take me to the home page, and I can't find the file anywhere - all links seem to do the same. What am I doing wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong. We moved to a faster server 2 days ago & are still finding links that need tweaking. If you could/would list the links that you had a problem with, it would be a big help & greatly appreciated.

BTW, try the FastActivate link again, please.

fyi: 885.4021 does NOT work on 7.9xx navcores.

Or is the map Europe South 885.4009 available yet?
If not: For which date is this stuff expected?

If a map and/or meta are not in post 1, then they are not available.

All 885 maps were rolled out on the 16th. There isn't an expect date. We are waiting on members to donate maps.

Good morning All. I seem to be having a difficulty, which I have never had before, activating maps. I have downloaded a couple of small .4010 maps, including one with the automatic install software and none of the maps show up when FastActivate (v1.8.8.1) is run. The automatic install version just hung. I did have success with a .4058 map but have just had a failure with that version of the UK map. I have used the update metatext button on FastActivate before trying to activate maps. I am using 8.010 software, but that shouldn't affect the activation of the maps. What step am I missing with these new map versions? Many thanks.

The step that you are missing is confirming that the meta file for each map has been posted. No meta, no patch.

Thanks again Tendriver. I thought that I knew what I was doing, but obviously not; it's all worked without a hitch before:-( I have just tried .4010 UK map with autoinstaller and the TT says I can't use the map with 8.010 which should be compatible. Best I wait until all the data has been posted and try again!

There are 5 downloadable 885 UK map versions in post 2 of this thread. Only 1 of them (4009) has the meta code posted & is usable. The other 4 are worthless without their meta code.

Lesson learned!!

I have loaded and patched the UK and W&CE 885.4009 maps, but TTHome does not offer any Mapshare updates. Is this because the maps are too new or have I done something wrong? I have a Go710 with NC9.400, older UK maps do still get updated
