Navcore 9.4 + 885.4009 maps

Postby 4supervisitor » Sat Feb 18, 2012 5:09 pm

I've got TomTom ONE IQ Routes edition with Navcore updated to 9.400 and I need to update my maps, so I downloaded Central_Europe 885.4009, but navigation still wont start up, becouse "maps are not compatibile with the device".
Am I doing something wrong, when I'm patching the map files (Albert's Easy Activator doesn't report any errors), or is the 4009 version just not suited for my NavCore?

Or, can someone give me a link on newest version of Central_Europe, which is 100% sure working with Navcore 9.400 on TT ONE IQ Routes? Thanks.

1. I don't find a Central_Europe 885.4009 map anywhere in the forum. Do you mean Europe Central 885.4009?
2. Did you update the meta.txt file to include the 885 metas? 885.4009 & 9.400 is a good combo.
3. This is a user issue, not a device, navcore, map issue.

Look for a .meta.dct file in the 4009 map folder. This will tell us if the map is patched.

Europe_Central-512.meta.dct.meta.dct is in tha map folder, generated by Albert's Easy Activator. The activator has also deleted .dct files from radars, but the navi doesn't work without them, niether when I tried to replace them back.

And just for your infromation. I have tried patching the map directly in device connected to computer. I have tried patching it in computer and then copying to device. Nothing works :(

Okay, here's something interesting.
When I copy ttgo.bif file from my backup folder into navigation, Easy Activator can normally read serial number from it. But if I boot the navigation after copying the .bif from clean backup, connect it again to the computer and put the .bif file into Easy Activator, it cannot read serial key anymore. Particulary it says "Invalid .bif file, please choose ttgo.bif or ttnavigator.bif!"

The corrupted .bif is 24 bytes smaller, but I have no idea, what exactly was changed, but its caused by booting the navigation. :/

May I suggest you use FastActivator Premium & repatch the whole setup.

You are aware that a new ttgo.bif file is created with each boot? It logs what is on the device at that time. Size willl vary accordingly

Have you actually checked if the meta code is available before you installed the new map?

If that was posted together with the map than it should be ok.
For FastActivate: Press all buttons starting from the left.
You don't really need the last except you want to use the simulation in Home.
If the map is activated correctly you will find a .meta.dct file inside the map folder.
If in doubt post the full error message FastActivaor produced.

Please check the tutorials and the instructions in the threads provided next you decide to try something new.
And if you would have followed my instructions in the previous post you would not have the error message anymore : you have not patched the Navcore!!!

I have 9.400 on TomTom 920 with map Europe_Central v885.4009 activated with latest BBS Tools 1.0.55 and work without a problem.
I'm very satisfied from Navcore and map, why someone of you can not activate the map i don't know?
