Newbie TT One New edition (2006) - maps won't work

Postby ZGmike » Tue Mar 01, 2011 2:53 pm

I tried 10 times and no luck. Sorry for post but I didn't find answer to my problems.
Downloaded map Eastern_Europe_865_3259 8version OK for my navcore), use FastActivate 1.8.03 (latest), write map code, but maps still missing.
Tried to upgrade Navcore to 8.412 but TT crashed (I checked and this version is OK for my TT).

Please help!

You have not mentioned if your Navcore is patched.
And to have it working on the TT you have to put the mapfolder on the device, downloading it is not enough.
Also make sure the name of the map folder does not contain any special characters except letters, numbers, "." and "_"

1. Connect Tomtom to PC. ----> PC must connect to Internet for online activation/patch.
2. Make a complete back-up to the original SDCard Tomtom via windows explorer (copy-paste)
3. Download Navcore for TT One from here: [Please Register or Login to download file] or [Please Register or Login to download file]
4. Extract to your PC
5. Copy-paste from a PC to TT one.
6. Point the installation to the SDCard TT One
8. After the installation is complete, Download Maps file from here : http://www.navitotal.com/forums/showthread.php?4551-All-New-Maps-865.XXXX
9. Copy the folder to Root folder SDCard.
10. Excute AutoActivate.exe on SDCard to get online patch for Map, sound, etc

1. Map was missing because you didn't patch your 7.903 navcore.

2. To install 8.412, go here: TomTom Automatic Navcore Installation Read the instructions carefully. Select SE_Navcore.8.412.1236_32mb_devices.rar

3. After installation, disconnect & reboot.

Thank you all for helping. I believe that my questions looks stupid but I was stucked and without your help lost.
@ Downunder35m - no special character in map folder name, and Navcore was patched
@ artfull - thanks for such detailed expanation, I did with this Navcore and everything went OK this time (lot of questionmarks flying under my head)
@ tendriver - obviouslly I didn't read instructions carefully enough and something went wrong

tnx once again!
