Can some one tell me how to install it after I download. Call me stupid but I can not find how to on the forum here. Thanks for any help

Navitotal only supports maps that are downloaded from: [color=red]All New Maps 870.XXXX[/color]

I went to the link you provided above but when I try to click on one it takes me to a some download manager site and everytime I click on anything, it want me to install iLivid Download manager. I tried installing it but I cant it to download any files.

You don't have to install anything, a Download manager or otherwise. Close any popups. Scroll the the bottom of the LinkSave.in page & you will see the 7 downloadable files.

First off tendriver, thanks for all the help you have given me so far. I could not have gotten this far without it. Now, I have downloaded the maps you pointed me at and put in a fresh blank 2gb SD card and ran the installer. After that I ran an activator that activated the maps but when I unplug it from my computer and the reboot starts, I get a no maps available. Any chance you know what I am doing run.

The navcore must be patched to use a patched map. To insure that we give you correct navcore patching instructions, go here: TomTom Current Config for newbies Read the instructions. Run the program & post the results.

Go here: FastActivate ENG 29.05.2011 {1.8.7.0} Read the instructions & select the premium version. Start FastActivator & click the ttsystem/PNDNavigator button.

Still getting the same message so I am deleteing everything off the SD Card and Starting over. I will let you know.

There are some TomTom units that have both internal & external (SD card) memory, but they can't be used at the same time, ie you can't have the navcore in one memory & use a map in the other memory.
The results in post 9 didn't tell us which model you have, so we don't know if this memory issue appies to your unit or not.

OK Everything is up and running. This is what I did. I deleted everything from the SD card. I then put it in my GPS. Let it do it thing through TTHome. I then ran the installer with activator and everything is going fine so far. I now need to download voices again. Thank you so much tendriver.

This is a 870.3420 map & requires a 9.0XX or higher navcore. A 870.3406 map only requires navcore 8.2XX.
Difference? The 3420 map has HNR (house numbers), which I have never found a need for & 3406 does not.
The 3406 version is 307 MB larger than the 3420 version meaning more detail.
I have NA 870.3406 on my 720.
