I downloaded this map without the installer or activator because the links for all in one map, activator and installer were messed up. I would like to know how to install this.

I have an XL350

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Got it working. I deleted the map file and started over again.

Simply follow the instructions in the map thread and for FastActivate.

I got the 885_4088 to work but I wanted to upgrade to the 885_4097. Should I skip this one?

Define "upgrade"...
The 4088 has IQ routes and ALG, while the 4097 has none of it.

That is interesting.

I am checking on Tom Tom Home with my XL connected to purchase map and it says:

Map "USA, Canada & Mexico" 885.4097 says: IQ Routes and 7.1 Million POI

Map "USA" 885.4088 says: IQ Routes and 3.8 million POI

There is no mention of ALG for any. Is this correct?

Well, I was only using our chart.
If TT says the map has these features, then TT should be correct and not the chart ;)
Good that you checked, so I assume you're after the POI's as the actual map data is identical.

I unRared it and there is a .meta file in map folder, so can I just delete the old folder and drag and drop the 4097 map into the TT?

Actually I only would use 4097 if it has ALG if not I prefer to use 4088. Any way to double check that on the actual maps files before installing them.

Any map that has IQ Routes, also has ALG!

Correct. Remove the old map folder. Copy in the new map folder. Copy the patcher into the root. Patch the map, as well as the navcore, if it isn't patched.

Got it going. Ran the FastActivate Premium . It even fixed the TT Home problem I was having when I would get a red screen when I would go to Operate my XL from my PC.
