TT One 3rd Edition map size

TT One 3rd Edition map size

Postby Gareth Burrows » Mon May 02, 2011 3:36 pm

Hi,

I finally after 3 years got round to fixing the snapped usb connector in my TT ONE, managed to solder onto points on the board, as the old plug had pulled the solder pads off with it, what a crap design, to get the usb working and update it ;-)

Its the GB, ROI and western Europe model, 1gb. i downloaded the new maps for it 980mb, but theres not enough room on to TT, even if I deleted everything on there. Current map pack size on the TT is 934.9mb. I downloaded the map from v865.xxxx section on here..

The TT i have has no SD card, boo!

Can anybody advise me on how to do this? Im off to Italy in a few weeks, only reason why i decided to fix it to be honest...

thanks in advance

Gareth

P.s. I fully updated the TT when I got it working again, but not sure what Navcore version is installed...

To find the navcore version, open your ONE with windows explorer. Open the ONE's ttgo.bif file with notepad. The navcore version is on line 9.

Thanks for the reply:

ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369

I take it my navcore version is v8

Cant download from the link, managed to get past the popups but no download slots available, not going to sign up to them, so the search continues with nzbs...

Hi,

Ok, I reluntantly signed up and downloaded the europe map from the link further up in this thread, installed to my TT One, kept the original folder name.

I used FastActivate ENG 28.03.2011 {1.8.6.6} and followed the instuctions, but when I used the TT it came up with a red screen, problem with map cannot not use this map on this device..

Is there something ive done wrong?

Thanks in advance

Gareth

1. There are NO downloads on Navitotal the require a member to sign up.

2. Confirm that you patched your 8010 navcore with FastActivate Premium. To confirm that the map was patched, look in the map folder for a file with a .meta.dct extension.

Checked in the maps file and there is no .dct extension

Im going to extract the .rar again just in case it cocked up first time...

Extracted it again, copied to root directory of TT, ran Premium version in TT root directory to patch maps, but still no .meta.dct extension.

And the warning message still shows up when starting TT

All working now, I was using TT through the TT Home software, and kept getting the error message, used the TT directly and it worked! Oops

Cheers for all the help, really appreciated

FFR, TT Home "operate my device" is a simulation/emulation, and is worthless for troubleshooting and/or patching.

You are Welcome. Enjoy!!
