[SOLVED] Problem installing map 890.4222

Postby Devil » Wed Jun 20, 2012 11:29 am

Hello,

I'm facing a problem while installing the western and central europe 2GB 890.4222 automatic installer and patcher.

I'm installing at a sd card only with the ttgo.bif file and I got this error:
CRC failed in the encrypted file western_and_central_europe_2gb_890_4222\cline.dat (wrong password?)

at the end of installation I got the message: some installation files are corrupt.
please download a fresh copy and retry the installation.

As password I used navitotal.
there's a file attached with part of the installation log.
Do I have to download all the files again or did some mistake ?

Thanks for you help and precious time

Confirm that you followed the Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions exactly.

I followed this instructions:

Automatic Installer & Patcher Instructions:
Maps with “Automatic Installer & Patcher” are a Navitotal Exclusive Product.
Before you begin back up upur SD card. The only file you need on your SD card is a copy of your device's ttgo.bif file.
You just need to download and run the file on your computer.
1. With your TomTom device plugged in or your sd card in your sd reader and an active internet connection
2. Click on the .exe file [Choose TomTom path or sd path] and click on the [Install] button.
3. Wait until the install process finishes and your new map will be installed and patched.

I downloaded a small map that has[color=#ff8c00] Automatic Installer & Patcher. [/color]Copied it and a ttgo.bif file onto a SD card. Ran the Installer.exe & it installed with no problem.
Did your downloaded EXE file have an apostrophe at the end of it, ie Installer.exe'
You may have gotten a bad part.

The exe file has this name: Western and Central Europe 2GB 890.4222_Installer.part01
No apostrophe....
I'm downloading parts again to see if some is corrupt

Problem solved.
Took me 5 hours to download the single file map from lazy.
Working ok so far.
Thanks all for your help.
Just one doubt, what's the difference between a western and central europe map 890.4222 and the 2gb version of the same map ?

If the map was from my map posting you should have noticed that the password is not navitotal ;)
