I have the same tomtom xxl as listed above and have a question. Currently my device does not have the option where I can talk to it (speech recognition). I was wondering if I could use a different navcore or map to allow me to do this or is the hardware inside the tomtom not equipped for it being though this model didnt come with it. Thanks!

ps. whats is hnr? I see it in the map chart

1. The XXL units do not have a microphone, so you can not talk to it.

2. HNR.....House Numbering. It only applies to Russia and Greece that do not use a conventional numbering system in some areas.

9.061 has been available in the Latest Navcores section for quite a while.

I also have the same tomtom one but (new edition not the 3rd mentioned above) , Is there any way to get IQroutes on the device? Cant I just install a map that has this feature along with the compatible navcore? Thanks

Maybe, maybe not. You have 1GB internal & a card slot? What area do you want a map for?

I have a card slot with a 1gb sd card in there now but i have sd cards laying around that r over 2gb. I dont know how much is internal(i dont think really any at all because all of my maps and navcore are on my sd card) I would like it for usa, usa & canada or usa & mexico. Any of those would be fine as long as it has a usa map lol. Thanks for the help.

Copy all from your existing SD to the PC.
Copy back to the new bigger SD, leaving the old map folder.
Add the new USA map of your choice.
Use FastActivate to activate the new map and if necessary to patch your Navcore.
If all is working copy the file mapsettings.cfg from your old map folder to the new map folder to keep your favorites and recent destinations.
Enjoy.

Thanks for the info. Im sorry I misunderstood what iq routes were. I meant Advanced lane guidance. Right now I could see the option in the settings menu but I cant enable it because its grayed out. The new navcore and map I have in there now is.

Awesome! Thank you so much I got it working. Also is there a way I could have this speak the street names? When I go to computer voices on tt home it says no are available. Then when I copied all of the voices from the voice folder from my xl iq routes edition that speaks the street names it doesn't show up on my tomtom. I did the fast activate in the voice folder also. Thanks!
