trying to update to latest maps on my tom tom go 750 and when i copy folder onto device and run activator and restart 750 it says that maps are not valid for device.

what navcore, map & activator are we dealing with?
Both navcore & map must be patched.

We need to know exactly which navcore. On your unit, go Main menu, Status & information, Version infirmation.

Pre-patched ttsystem, PNDNavigator & dll Unzip & copy both the ttsystem & PNDNavigator files into your navcore, overwriting any common files.

you seem to know everything! i've done the same as well (and aust map too). been at it for about 8 hours, reading everything and trying to figure out if i've gotten it wrong.

specs:
TT one v3.
navcore- 8.412.1236
map- 865.3256
bootloader: 55001

(I can't access my TT directly so am just getting these numbers from the navcores and maps that I've d/l from here).

Basically I got the automatic navcore from here

I used "automatic installer and patcher"

So essentially, as far as I know- I don't have to patch anything because I've chosen the most idiot-proof way (says something about me!!!).

However, I have read some feedback from others and noticed that I do not have a .dcf file, nor can I find my meta text. So I can't seem to do this:

which I thought might be the problem...

My actual error says "You cannot use this map on this device: Australia-305".

Help please? I have done as much reading as I can, even re-formatted my TT because it crashed, put back all the files I had from my backup and am completely at my wit's end...

2. You still have to run the patcher, to patch the map.
3. See #2. You don't have a meta.txt. It is included in the automatic installer and patcher map download. No .dct file in the map folder, tells you that the map isn't patched.

ahhhhhh. ok. thanks. i will look for a patcher and report back!!! finally, a solution i haven't tried (going insane) :)

i can't believe how niffy fastactivate is. i have to update my friend's tomtom as well and navitotal and saved me SO much money, a donation is a must from me.
