i have tomtom go720 gps at
app 9.205.547817,os547200
(5007,7/22010)
64mb ram free 17.1mb)
gps v1.20 boot 5.5250
map north america 2gb 860 3101 v860.3101
language english us

i did map update from here before but i want a new map for some of the rural canada where i moved for work

do i have to update navcore too...?
OR one time patched stays always patched

how do i patch the map to work with my navcore ..

keep your navcore....once patched....it stays patched

patch the map just like you did when you did the 860 map.

Maps are patched to a device, not a navcore.

Go here: FastActivate 23.10.2011 {1.8.7.4} Read the instructions. Download either version. Run the patcher & click the meta.txt update button, then the map patch button. Done.

i did that and still no luck copying map and fast activate with meta does not work step by step for sd card please

i am dumb at this

1. FastActivate always works, if used correctly!

2. Why are you mentioning a SD card for the first time in post 10????

To use a card, put the 3810 map folder, a copy of your 720's TTGO.bif file & FastActivate on it. Run the FA map patcher.
