tomtom one 3rd edition! driving me mad!

Mon May 16, 2011 12:11 am

hi all, having a frustrating time trying to update a tom tom 3rd edition so here is what i did.

i backed up the tomtom

then i found map version 865.3262 on here automatic installer then tried the map and it would not work so tried updating it and the navicore was updated to 8.0.1 i think and the map showed but could not be used.

then i realised that the version map for this tom tom is infact 8.65.3259 so i restored tomtom and downloaded the automated map and it now says no maps found!

i even used the easy activator separately but it will not work

can someone help as im pulling my hair out!

1. Both the navcore & map must be patched.
2. 865.3262 is OK for your unit.
3. Same as point 1.

Have you confirmed that the map is patched by looking for a meta.dct file in the map folder.

there is a 192kb META file in the folder

If the map is patched, there will be a .meta & a .meta.dct file.

Confirm that there is a ttgo.bif file in the root of your unit.

1. LATEST POSTCODES Version 865 (GREAT BRITAIN, NEDERLAND & SINGAPORE) Postcode v865

Extract and copy the "Zip" folder to the root of your TomTom.

Hey Kronas or anyone!
I am having same problem...
I backed up old, followed instructions and deleted and copied new files as instructed. Now getting NO MAPS FOUND? I noticed that I dont have a meta.dct file in my USA and CANADA folder. Looked in my backed up folder and all that shows is: cline.dat file inside USA and CANADA folder? My gps now defaults to Guam maps????? Which I looked in that folder and found Guam-7.meta.dct file? Any Idea how to get my meta.dct file back for USA and CANADA?
