TomTom One 3rd Edition - Maps cannot be used - Help me with

Postby kosmos111 » Sun Jun 17, 2012 2:03 am

Hai.

Okay so I have updated the device, changed the navcore to 8.010 and copied Central and Eastern Europe 890.4234 maps onto it. After using AutoActive and unplugging the device it says the maps cannot be used on it. I have used FastActive, and TAASE.EXE that came along with the maps but none of them helped.
When I launch TomTom home it tells me the maps have to be activated, and asks for the code.

When I check META.TXT there is no code for 890_4234.

That is what I get from TTCurrentConfig:

TTGO.BIF:
DeviceName=TomTom ONE
DeviceVersionHW=ONE (v6)
BootLoaderVersion=55001
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=8010
ApplicationVersion=9369
CurrentMap=
CurrentMapVersion=0.0
TTGO.BAK:
Not Found...
TTGO.ORI:
Not Found...
TTNAVIGATOR.BIF:
Not Found...

I have downloaded things like, SE_Navcore.8.412.1236.Basicpack, SE_ttsystem.8.412.1236.rev1.1 but not sure if any use.

Any suggestions?

TAASE.EXE???
Not part of FA or the map, so what is it and where did you get it?
Did you bother to check the tutorial section and read the instructions for the maps?

I did check tutorials but there is just so many different ones, for different things, its just so too much at once.
TAASE.EXE came with the maps which I got from http://www.navitotal.com/showthread.php?9758-890-Map-Collections-ONLY.

well, as you mention there isn't any METAtext available - so U can't use that particular map at this time....just wait .

I have DL'ed the latest map to be prepared for the METAtext to arrive....

currently using 885.4058, works fine and METAtext is available .

(( Scandinavia 885.4058 with Automatic Installer & Patcher ))

always read the instructions carefully, once done, U will be well prepared for each new map that arrives... remember to check the compatible-list also, some of the maps doesnt work on your device. :scratch_one-s_head_

Ok thanks a lot, I'll try them

I have another question. I also need UK maps but as my device is only 1GB I can't really have both - Central Europe & UK as there is no enough space.
Any way around that?

TAASE.EXE shows up as a fast activate file if you select, show hidden files in the folder view options.
thanks to all on here, I've learned a great deal from this site.
