It's quite simple. Go here: All New Maps 885.XXXX Scroll down to the UK&ROI maps. Note the versions available. Scroll back to the chart in post 1 & pick out the full featured version.

Which UK&ROI map are you working with in this thread GO530 not booting ??

The 530 by default uses NC 9.430 and map UK & RoI 890.4222

I'll give you a tip how to find out which new map you need/want.

From within TomTomHome press the button to buy new maps.
You'll have to connect and activate your TT device.

If you have chosen a map you can choose to see more info.
Then you will see the exact 890.xxxx specified.

Fool and idiot proof.

Yes, but looking for a suitable map from within TomTomHome points to only one (1) map and can therefore not cause confusion and/or uncertainty.

If it would be foolproof it would be complete and correct, sadly neither is the case.
For example the AU890.4278 contains housenumber files and won't work on a NC <9, so I simply assume the rest of the chart can have similar errors for other maps.

Sorry, typo, corrected it to 4278.
File list from the AU map:
Australia.pna
Australia-589.meta
borders.dat
cline.dat
cname.dat
cnode.dat
cphoneme.dat
crpoi.dat
cspeech_AUS.dat
faces.dat
faces.met
housenrs.dat
mapinfo.dat
overview.dat
overview.met
poi.dat
profiles.dat
tables.dat
tmccodes.dat
traffic.dat

It has HNR and also something called "Warn me when my route passes through an area with limited map information" in the IQ routes menu.
On my two runs through the city today I could not see any Lane images at all, so I think ALG is missing too, only the arrows in the status bar are present.
But is des have ASR.
And according to several users in an australian forum it does not work below NC9.
I also have no idea what the citymap files are for, like in the 4222 maps.
