Which maps will work on my device

Postby 13B-RX3 » Sun Apr 22, 2012 11:55 pm

I thought i was pretty computer savvy but this all seems Greek to me.

I need to know what is the latest map and what navcore i need to use. Also how often should i update it?

I'm in North America.

Thanks in advance!
Allen

Go here: AutoActivate & FastActivate 1.8.8.5 Read the instructions. Download FastActivate Premium
Go here: All New Maps 885.XXXX Read the instructions in post 1, then scroll down to the US maps and select either one that is less than 1GB.
Remove your current map folder & copy in your new map folder.
You can use your current navcore.
Run FA per the instructions, clicking the first 3 buttons from left to right, 1 at a time. Disconnect & reboot.

Got FA installed with no issues and went to load the map from the link. The site does not appear like they instructions said it would. I tried to open it with IE FF and Chrome. Here is a screen shot. I tried the other maps (non us) and they appear just like the instructions say they should (spot for user password).

Thanks for your help, i am excited to get it working and beginning to wonder what other features i could use now!

1. Scroll toward the bottom of the LinkSave.in page, that opens, until you see "The visitorpassword that you have entered is wrong" notice.
Below this notice, is a gray box titled Visitorpassword. Type navitotal in the gray box & click enter.
2. The download link/links will be at the bottom of the page that opens. Use the single downward pointing orange arrows under the word "Download" to download the map.

1. Your screenshot is past this page.
2. You are at this page and ready to download the parts as instructed in point 2 above.

I know exactly where you are!!

1. I get that, but only if I go back to linksave.in, after having been there earlier.
2. Yep, ALL 8.
3. I'm not that close. Ever here of a little neighborhood place named "The Frog Pond"?

OK, no problem.

Once you get the map up & running, you can up your navcore, if you wish.

What would the benefits be of updating the navcore? Will different versions do different things. Sorry for the really basic questions but i have never touched my GPS since i bought it. It crashed the other day and i started looking at replacing it till i found this site. I got it up and running again last night and backed it up. I have been meaning to get updates for it but i just can't afford it right now. I tried researching before posting but it's a lot of info to digest. Thanks again for taking the time to help me out!

Are there any other servers to load the files from. I have been trying since you posted the link and was only able to load one map. It keeps saying all slots are filled.
